Founded in 2004 by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology
(MCIT) in cooperation with Cisco Systems, the e-Learning Competence Center
(ELCC) is Egypt’s leading organization in e-Learning with a track record of
developing and delivering a wide array of state-of-the art e-Learning courses,
web communications and e-content; setting and disseminating the quality
standards of e-Learning; providing best practice research and expert consultancy
in e-Learning and engendering the first wave of facilitators and e-trainers into
the market. |

To this end, the purpose of the ELCC is to act
as a hub for the integration, development and dissemination of e-Learning
content of relevance to the Egyptian market. |

The ELCC’s web-based curriculum is a unique synergy of subject experts and the
Center’s e-Learning expertise spanning instructional design‚ creative visual
design and software design techniques. It's comprehensive content‚ broad
spectrum of content development/instructional design strategies, multiple
delivery options and wide-reach national delivery network cater to the
uniqueness of each organization and individual. The web-based curriculum also
gives learners the freedom to learn at their own pace and in the preferred
learning style—anytime‚ anywhere, and within a cost-effective learning
environment. |

Today, the ELCC serves as the central vehicle in Egypt for bridging the gap
among Egyptian SMEs, knowledge workers and the global economy. The center equips
